Before Installation

Check your WordPress environment first.

Most installation issues are caused by outdated WordPress versions, old PHP versions, server limits, conflicting plugins or incomplete ZIP uploads. Before installing LemonX, review these basic requirements.

WordPress Version

Recommended: WordPress 6.4 or later

Why it matters: LemonX products use modern WordPress APIs, admin interfaces, REST endpoints and background processes. Older versions may not fully support the required features.

PHP Version

Recommended: PHP 8.1 or later

Why it matters: AI workflows, queues, API requests, translation tasks and MCP-related processes work better on modern PHP environments.

HTTPS / SSL

Recommended: Valid SSL certificate enabled

Why it matters: AI provider connections, license verification, MCP authentication, REST API calls and secure admin workflows may require HTTPS.

Server Memory

Recommended: 256 MB or higher WordPress memory limit

Why it matters: AI generation, OCR, translation queues, page generation and indexing tasks may require more memory than basic WordPress pages.

File Upload Limit

Recommended: 64 MB or higher upload limit

Why it matters: Large plugin packages, theme files or full Suite packages may fail if the upload limit is too low.

REST API Access

Recommended: REST API not blocked by security plugins, firewall rules or server settings

Why it matters: LemonX products may rely on REST endpoints for admin actions, background operations, MCP workflows and product communication.

Cron / Background Tasks

Recommended: Working WP-Cron or real server cron

Why it matters: Translation queues, indexing tasks, reports, scheduled checks and background processing may depend on cron.

Admin Permissions

Recommended: WordPress Administrator role

Why it matters: Plugin installation, license activation, settings configuration and MCP permission setup require administrator-level access.

Installation FAQ

Frequently asked installation questions

Should I install LemonX Pro first?

If you are using a paid plan or the full LemonX Suite, yes. Installing LemonX Pro first helps with license activation, product entitlements and premium feature access.

Can I install only one LemonX product?

Yes. LemonX is modular. You can install only AEO, Code, Verto, MCP, Pro, Theme or the full Suite depending on your needs.

Do I need LemonX Theme to use LemonX Code?

Not always. LemonX Code may work with other themes, but LemonX Theme is recommended for clean AI-generated layouts, canvas pages and performance-focused builds.

Do I need an AI API key before installing?

No. You can install LemonX first. However, AI-powered features require an AI provider connection before they can generate content, translate, analyze or automate workflows.

Can I install LemonX on a staging site?

Yes. We recommend using a staging site for testing, especially for full Suite setup, theme changes, MCP write tools, migration and large translation batches.

Can I install LemonX on multisite?

Multisite support may depend on the product, license and configuration. Check the compatibility guide or submit a ticket before deploying LemonX across a multisite network.

Why does WordPress say the ZIP file is invalid?

The ZIP file may be corrupted, incomplete, nested incorrectly, or uploaded in the wrong area. Make sure plugin ZIP files are uploaded under Plugins and theme ZIP files under Appearance > Themes.

What should I do if installation fails?

Re-download the ZIP file, check upload limits, confirm your WordPress and PHP versions, try SFTP installation, then contact support if the issue continues.

Will installing LemonX change my existing content?

Installing and activating LemonX should not automatically rewrite your existing content. Content changes happen only when you use features such as generation, translation, migration or MCP actions.

Can I remove LemonX later?

Yes. You can deactivate and delete LemonX products from WordPress. Generated content may remain unless you manually remove it.

Still having trouble installing LemonX?

If installation fails or your product does not activate correctly, send us your product name, ZIP file source, WordPress version, PHP version, active theme, error message and screenshots.
